Spa Chemicals

Waters Choice Sanitizer is a granular chlorine. Used in conjunction with our enzymes it will help keep the water safe and ready to use.

Waters Choice pH Down.

This product lowers the pH.

Proper pH balance is an essential part of Spa/Hot Tub maintenance. If the pH of the water is high, the warm water accelerates scale formation on the sides of the Spa/Hot Tub and heater elements. The water tends to be cloudy and eye irritation may develop. Scale build-up may also begin to occur.

TIP: Keeping your spa water balanced will make taking care of your spa easier.

Waters Choice pH Up.

This product raises the pH.

If the pH of your Spa/Hot tub is low (below 7.2), the water will be acidic. Discomfort from skin and eye irritation could develop. This condition also causes chlorine to become unstable, and therefore less effective in killing bacteria, algae, and in disintegrating organic matter.

With our enzymes in the water only minimal amounts of these chemicals are needed.

You do not need to feel like a chemist to use our system. It’s that simple.

Benefits of Using Enzymes in Your Pool

Directions for Use: Spa/Hot Tubs (One capful holds approximately 1 oz.)

With pump on, add ½ teaspoon of this product per 100 gallons of water (or 5 teaspoons per 1,000 gallons as initial treatment. Repeat at 15 to 20 minute intervals until a residual of 3-5 ppm of available chlorine is established as determined by test kit or test strips. Testing must be performed regularly to determine the frequency of additional doses of this product needed to maintain the chlorine residual of 3-5 ppm.

pH Up

Directions for Use: Spas/Hot Tubs (One capful holds approximately 1 oz.)

The recommended range is 7.2 – 7.6

Test water daily for pH and bromine/chlorine.

Add 1 oz. of pH Up per 250 gallons of water, if testing shows pH is low. pH Up is readily soluble in water. It may be broadcast on the spa/hot tub surface. It requires one hour to determine if pH is within recommended range. Repeat if necessary. The spa/hot tub may be used immediately following treatment.

pH Down:

When closing your pool, add 2 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water each of the two previous weeks before closing, check all other levels, then close. In warmer climates where the pools are not closed but are not used add 1 ounce per 10,000 gallons of water every 6 weeks.
