Our Clean Water Journey
My name is Tom Vaughan. My wife, Debbie and I have been in the pool and spa business for more than 30 years.
We and our two boys love swimming in our pool and soaking in our spa. But early on, I had adverse reactions to the chemicals. We all disliked the strong chemical odors, the constant maintenance, and the multitude of products we had to repeatedly add to our water. We were bothered by the dry skin and eye irritation we experienced with traditional chemicals.
We knew there had to be a better, more natural, way to keep the water fresh and clean. We began looking for alternatives. That is where our journey began.
The Natural Process
Over the years we tried many different alternatives and found enzymes to be the most promising, so we teamed up with a chemist here in Boise and developed an enzyme specifically for pools and spas.
In the early days it was hard to convince pool and spa owners that something so simple could replace all of the chemicals and only had to be checked once or twice a month. As time went on and our base of customers grew, we started shipping our product all over the U.S. as well as to Canada and other parts of the world.
